Robyn began dancing at age 3 and since then has trained and competed extensively in various styles of dance including jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary and musical theatre. Robyn started her training in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she has had the opportunity to perform and train with very talented dancers.
As a performer her stage credits included Pooh Friendship Day (Disney Canada), Jazz on Tap (Winnipeg Jazz Festival), The Professional Division Summer Session (Royal Winnipeg Ballet), The Manitoba Dance Festival, and performing in Germany for the Canadian National Tap Team and the Canadian National Hip Hop Team.
Robyn has participated in dance conventions/workshops such as Triple Threat and LADF where she won numerous scholarships in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Most recently, Robyn spent three months in New York City where she was attending the International Visa Program at the world renowned dance studio Broadway Dance Centre. In these months she trained under and alongside some of the worlds most respected and accomplished choreographers such as Sheila Barker, Phil Orsano, Dorit Koppel, Derek Mitchell, Shirlene Quigley and many more. During her time at Broadway Dance Centre, she performed in the Professional Semester Showcase, performed her own choreography in the ISVP showcase, participated in several organized flash mobs, and was able to have Complexions Contemporary Company member Phil Orsano as a mentor.
Needless to say she is very grateful for all her experiences in the dance world. She is very passionate about dance, constantly seeking to grow with the evolving dance industry and pass along all her knowledge and experience to her wonderful students.
Robyn is thrilled to be sharing her love of dance with Adage and looking forward to another amazing year.
