Brenna Bazinet

Academy Facilitator & Musical Theatre
Brenna Bazinet is a dedicated vocalist, performer, teacher, and director born and raised in the Cowichan Valley. Her love for the arts started as a young child on the stage, participating in musicals, solo performances, and Irish dance. The arts have always felt like a second home where Brenna could grow, shine, and find belonging and loves that she can instil this joy in the students at Adage and the Academy.

Brenna holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Ambrose University where she studied under Dr. Rachel Goldenberg and is a recent graduate of Queens University’s Master of Arts Leadership program. Brenna was awarded Valedictorian for her 2021 undergraduate class at Ambrose University.

As a vocalist Brenna has participated in many festivals and intensives across BC and Alberta including: Contemporary Showcase, Songfest, the Cowichan Valley Music Festival, Opera NUOVA’s 3-Week Hybrid Program, the BC Provincial Music Festival, and as a finalist in the ARMTA Provincial Voice Competition in both 2021 and 2019, placing second and third overall.

She has sung with choral ensembles since the age of eight years old and took part in Ambrose University’s production of Amahl and the Night Visitors by Menotti as a chorister in 2018. In 2020, prior to the pandemic, she was one of three winners of the Ambrose Concerto Competition and had the privilege of singing with the Ambrose Chamber Orchestra.

Brenna has spent the last 5 years teaching voice and piano at local studios and investing in her own artistic career. Most recently, she made her debut with the Cowichan Musical Society (CMS) in 2023 as Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical and returned as Vivienne Kensington in Legally Blonde the Musical (2025). She is currently directing the Cowichan Performing Arts Academy’s production of YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN the musical (2025).”
