Emily Clements

Emily was first introduced to pilates in 1998 after suffering chronic back pain. She was astounded by the relief after just a short period of time, and in 2004 decided to pursue her mat instructor training at Hearts and Bones studio while living in New Zealand.

In May of 2007 after returning to Canada, Emily completed her equipment training at The Space Vancouver under the tutelage of Marta Hernandez. During the autumn and winter of 2007 and 2008 Emily spent 7 months instructing at Coyne Pilates in Toronto with her mentor Jennifer Coyne. Emily also holds a degree in teaching from Malaspina University. Her goal is to teach students how to safely and mindfully strengthen their bodies and then bridge that knowledge into everyday movement.
