Emily has always had a passion for working with people, educating them and inspiring them to achieve their very best. Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and English as well as a Bachelor of Education Degree in 2004. She has been teaching since then.
Olivia Boudreau – Owner

It seems that Olivia has spent most of her life in a dance studio. As a small child Olivia was introduced to dance the day she learned to walk as owning a dance studio has been in the family. Going to work with her mom became a daily occurrence.

Aymie began dancing at the age of 4 with Olivia Boudreau. After Olivia left the Cowichan Valley, Aymie continued her training at Steps Ahead in Mill Bay, B.C. Aymie studied ballet & modern and completed her exams with flying colours.

Candace has had the privilege of studying ballet and modern dance under leading artists in both disciplines: Alan Howard, a principal dancer with the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo; Dimitri Romanoff, regisseur (reconstructing the classic ballets) for American Ballet Theater and Cliff Keuter & Elina Mooney, my mentors in modern dance, who directed companies in NY and on the West coast.
Ira has been playing music since the age of 5 and performing, composing and writing songs for almost 20 years.
Jacquie De Jong-Seinen
Musical Theatre, Voice, Music Therapy
Jacquie has been singing most of her life. She began singing in choirs and soloing for the Victoria Police Choir as a teenager. The more she sang the more she wanted to sing.
Rachel completed her BMus in voice at Dalhousie University in Halifax. She is also one of the original graduates of the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria and completed her apprenticeship with the Chemainus Theatre Festival. Rachel has performed from coast to coast, in the US, and Europe as a classical soloist, chorister and in musicals.

Robyn began dancing at age 3 and since then has trained and competed extensively in various styles of dance including jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary and musical theatre. Robyn started her training in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she has had the opportunity to perform and train with very talented dancers.
Roslyn was born in the Caribbean on the island of Trinidad. She moved to Canada when she was six years old and then moved with her family to the Bahamas between the ages of 9 and 13. She started dancing Jazz at age 12 and continued when she moved back to Canada until she was 18 years old.
Acting & Speech Arts
Gregg started teaching high school drama in 1977 in Calgary. In 1992, he was invited to be the first producer/artistic director of the Chemainus Theatre. In 1998, he started Alderlea Performing Arts Company, and ran a summer program called “Putting On A Show!” for 8 to 16 year-olds at Queen Margaret’s School.
Lisa has been in love with dance since the young age of 3. She has worked through the RAD ballet exams up to intermediate advanced as well as studied modern, jazz, tap, musical theatre & hip hop.
Timothy has been tap dancing for 9 years now, and is constantly expanding his rhythmical vocabulary. Timothy grew up learning tap dance from his teacher Lynda Allen, who gave him the love for the dance.

Hannah was born and raised on Vancouver Island and began dance at the age of three. She has trained in multiple styles including ballet, modern jazz and hip hop.

BC born and bred, there has never been a time when Jeremy wasn’t dancing. Studying all forms of dance, his training led him all over the world. On top of competing across Canada, the US and Europe, Jeremy was part of the original touring company, Tap Co. with the Vancouver Tap Society.
Anna has over 25 years of dance training behind her in Ballet and Modern Jazz starting at the age of 7. She has achieved her RAD Advanced 1 Vocational Certificate in Ballet.

Born and raised in England, Tiffany has been dancing since the age of 2. With a passion to further herself, she was accepted to the Arts Educational School, Tring Park. Immediately upon completing her 2 year intense course, she was hired by Carnival Cruise Lines and began traveling and dancing on their ships in March 2006.

Kyra has been dancing since she was 4 and has always been in love with it. She has completed her ISTD exams in Modern & Tap, up to grade 6 and her RAD exams in Ballet up to Intermediate. In addition to syllabus training, she has also trained in Contemporary, Jazz & Hip Hop.
Jill grew up in Saskatchewan and moved to the Island just over 6 years ago. As a young girl, she loved to dance, play piano and volleyball. Moving around from city to city and travelling as much as possible, she fed her need of adventure.
Deanie has been highly involved in fitness most of her life, and lives in the Cowichan Valley with her two awesome boys. When the boys were toddlers she took up a more serious focus on weight training and high intensity cardio work (HITT). When she is not at the gym she is coaching sports, walking, hiking and teaching elementary school.
